Australia Vs India: Rohit Sharma is on the verge to clear the fitness test, May play the last tests

Rohit Sharma could make an appearance in the last 2 test matches played against in Australia of the much anticipated 4 test match series as the India opener is well on his way to clear the fitness test taking place at the National Cricket Academy In Bangalore on December 11. According to sources, Rohit is recovering quite strongly from the Hamstring injury and could fly to Australia.

The hamstring of Rohit Sharma is quite better than before and could be boarding the flight to Australia on December 12, which could only happen if he clears the assessment on the day before his departure.

At the NCA, Rohit has kept his emphasis on building strength.

After having arrived, Rohit is likely to get in a 14-day quarantine. After having trained for a week, the Indian opener is eyeing to play the 3rd test that will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground on January.

With the arrival of Rohit into the squad, India could make a mark at the test series, especially at the absence of Virat Kohli after the series opener that will be played in Adelaide in a Day and Night Fixture, that starts on December 17. Kohli on the other hand will return home to his wife and Bollywood Actor Anushka Sharma, to be available for the birth of their first child.

Rohit had undergone a hamstring injury during the IPL and made an appearance in the last league match against Sunrisers and also played a match-winning knock on the finals, but did not recover fully. People praised Rohit for stepping up for the remaining fixtures for Mumbai Indians whereas some did criticize for the decision to have played despite the injury. There were questions like” Is it important to play for your franchise or your country?” This question has been the talking point. For the kind of champion, Rohit Sharma has produced off of himself, he has nothing to prove. He was picked up for the test squad after having been rested during the limited-overs fixtures in Australia, due to the hamstring injury that happened while playing at the Indian Premier League IPL 2020. Rohit though he was added to the test squad as an Indian opener, he did not travel with his team to Australia. The BCCI made it clear to all the questions mentioning about Rohit that he flew back to India from UAE to attend the family illness. Rohit is in his progress to recovery and is regaining his fitness at the NCA since having landed in Bangalore.

Rohit who is adept with the shorter format of the game, found himself to be championed with the Long format, playing crucial innings in the previous tour of Australia and also some match-winning knocks in India. He has the calibre to lead the side from the front and play a long innings with almost all the range of shots available in his cabinet, making it tough for the opposition to either get through his defence or induce him to play a silly shot. The best part about Rohit was is that once he gets his half-century, he becomes unstoppable. The fans will be happy with the news, but analysts will still make their judgement with regards to his performance and how would he approach bowlers.

Meanwhile, there was some other information that was brought up by the sources with regards to the status of Ravindra Jadeja, that he is unlikely to be a part of the test squad, as the all-rounder found himself ruled out of the T20 I series after having to take the hamstring injury and the concussion on the T20I opener against Australia. Virat Kohli and his men will eye a clean sweep on Tuesday, as having taken a 2-0 lead over hosts and won the series.
