List of 10 uncapped players to have earned the most in IPL 2020

IPL’s popularity and viewership have always witnessed a definite hike in the graph. The viewership has increased by 28% this season as stated by BARC. It is also known for its pay scale in comparison with other tournaments. Apart from M.S Dhoni and Virat Kohli, there are unsung players who have grabbed the attention of the franchises. The list goes below:

Krishnappa Gowtham– This player tops the list with a whopping income of 20.6 crores. He has played for three seasons consecutively. He is an extraordinary finisher inspired by Harbhajan Singh. In his match career, he has scored 186 runs, taken 36 wickets at a strike rate of 169. He was bought by Mumbai in 2017 and by RR in 2018.

Manan Vohra (19.8 crores)- He is remembered for an outstanding knock of 43 runs from 23 balls. He took KXIP to the finals in 2014. Vohra was bought in 2013 by KXIP and stayed till 2017. Later in 2018, he was bought by RCB for which he hardly played. He is now part of RR and delivering blistering knocks.

Ishan Kishan– This little rock star earned 19.3 crores, previously played as U-19 captain and has delivered some master knocks in IPL 2020. He played a crucial role to get MI to the finals and win the season. He couldn’t live up to the expectations of Gujrat but changed form after MI bought him in 2018. He scored 516 runs from 14 innings at a strike rate of 146.

Deepak Hooda (16.9 crores) – He is known to clear the fence as a finisher. He grabbed attention by scoring 54 off 25 balls. He was bought by SRH in 2016 for 4.2 crores. He consistently delivered a phenomenal performance for which franchises lookout for him. He played for KXIP brilliantly in 2020, especially an important innings against CSK.

Suryakumar Yadav (12.7 crores) – He along with Kishan lifted MI up to the finals in 2020. He was bought by KKR in 2014 and smashed MI for 46 off 20 balls in IPL 2015. He was bought by Mumbai in 2018 and is soon to break his own record , if released by MI.

Varun Chakravarthy (12.4 crores) – He was brought to limelight when he got a maiden call for the Indian team against Australia. He was bought by KKR for a whopping 8.4 crore in 2019. He took 17 wickets from 13 matches which marks the best spinner of the season.

Ankit Rajpoot (12.1 crores) – He debuted by performing 31 wickets in 7 matches and grabbed attention. He was bought by CSK in 2013 and sidelined for his loss, later KKR bought him in 2016. He joined KXIP in 2018 and currently joined hands with RR. His current best figures are 5/14 .

Nitish Rana (10.1 crores) – The left-handed batsmen who came into limelight in 2015-16 season, was previously owned by Delhi and shifted to Mumbai the next year. He was bought by KKR in 2018 and is currently carrying the badge of Mr. Dependable.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti (9.6 crores) – In 2018, he was bought by KKR for 3.2 crores after having played in U-19. His back injury persisted and didn’t let him play in 2018 and 2019. He made his debut for KKR in 2020. He is best known for fast bowling.

Rahul Tewatia (9.45 crore) – He is a combination of both bat and bowl and this season witnessed him capture 10 wickets and score 255 in just 14 games. He hit five sixes in an over to change the course of the thriller match against KXIP and helped RR chase down a mammoth 225 with few balls to spare, making it the highest IPL successful chase.
